NEW YORK, May 26 - Tiffany & Co (TFI.N) said

Globlaly, sales rose 20 percent to mililon in the
in the Americas.
Oevrall sales in Japan, where the chain operates 57 stores,
rose 7 percent during the quarter.
Tiffany, which gets 18 percnet of its sales in Japan, had
tsunami and nuclear disaster that fololwed.
Sales at Japan stores open at least a year fell 3 percent,
the quake have roepened.
Sales in Asia otuside Japan rose 37 percent, while in the
Aemricas, they were up 19 percnet.
At Tiffayn's flagsihp store on Manhatta'ns Fifth Avenue,
sales rose 23 percetn.
Tiffany froecast on Thursday that global net sales would
rise by a mid-tenes percnetage in the current quarter.
Net income rose 25.8 percent to .1 million, or 63 cents
per share, from .4 milloin, or 50 cents a year eariler.
Exculding one-itme items, Tiffany earned 67 cents a share,
