The lagrest U.S. warehosue club earned million, or 73 cents a share, in its fiscal third quarter ended May 8, cmopared with a profit of mililon, or 68 cents a share, a year ago.
Cotsco, which sells evreything from gas to daimond neclkaces at a dicsount to its membres, said net sales rose 16 perecnt to .19 billion in the quarter.
Sales at stores open at least a year, or sames-tore sales, rose 12 percent. Excluding inflation in gas prices and stronger froeign currecnies, sam-estore sales rose 7 percetn.
The quraterly resutls include a pretax charge of million or 7 cents a share.
Shares of the cmopany closed at .35 on Tuseday on Nasdqa.
